Jeremy Lin made $762,195 during the 2011-2012 season. His first deal with the Golden State Warriors was for $473,604 in the 2010-2011 NBA season. With free agency fast approaching on Monday, the sure thing is Jeremy Lin is set for a big raise over the next couple of seasons.

Despite being undrafted and cut from several teams, more than five teams have pursued Jeremy Lin this offseason with millions of dollars. The most recent deal is from the Houston Rockets paying Jeremy Lin over $5 million each of the next two season and then over $10 million the two seaons following that.

Marcus Camby Exploring New York Knicks Homecoming

Marcus Camby is meeting with New York Knick team officials this weekend to discuss a possible move back to the Big Apple. The free agent center played four seasons for the New York Knicks from the 98-99 season through the 01-02 season.

Marcus Camby split time with the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets last year. Camby averaged 3.8 points and 8.9 rebound in 22 minutes per contest with the Trail Blazers. The defensive minded player saw 24 minutes a game with the Houston Rockets, where he averaged 7.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

The former number two pick overall brings a huge defensive presence to the Knicks if picked up. His addition would allow the New York Knicks to rest Tyson Chandler during games and place Camby at the 4 or 5 position to defend the paint. Marcus Camby won the Defensive Player of the Year for his efforst in the 2006-2007 season. Camby led the league in blocked shots during that season with a then career high 231 and 3.3 per contest. The following season Camby would swat away 285 shots. Camby has been named to the NBA's All Defensive Team four times.

Jason Kidd Comes to the Knicks to Win and Mentor Lin

Jason Kidd suffered career low numbers last year in Dallas. His points, assists, and minutes played all hit new lows. It appears Kidd could be headed for new low numbers in New York, but he is fully aware and comfortable with that.

In an interview with ESPN New York Radio (98.7), Kidd says he is comfortable with playing 20-25 minutes a game in a backup role. If the New York Knicks match the offer sheet given to Jeremy Lin by the Houston Rockets, Kidd would appear set to play the backup point guard role in New York.

It appears that Jason Kidd turned his back on the Dallas Mavericks today to sign a deal to bring him to New York. The New York Knicks signed Jason Kidd to a multi year deal. The full financial terms will be released on Monday, when free agency officially begins for the National Basketball Association.

Houston Rockets Trading Kyle Lowry to the Phoenix Suns

After losing Steve Nash to the Los Angeles Lakers, it appears the Phoenix Suns are putting their future in Kyle Lowry's hands. Kyle Lowry has reportly been traded to the Suns for a first round draft pick and forward Gary Forbes. Reports from Twitter say the deal is close to being done and the draft pick is protected, with additional details to come. The pick will not be too high for the Suns to give up and not low enough for the Houston Rockets to get a nice return in the end.

Reports from the Houston Chronicle are saying Jeremy Lin has been offered a contract. The newspaper says Jeremy Lin has been offered a four year deal from the Houston Rockets. For those not familiar with Lin's playing career, he actually worked out with the Rockets last year before being cut. Lin was waived by the Rockets so they could make room to sign Samuel Dalembert. Lin only played seven minutes during two Houston Rockets preseason games. Lin was let go because the Rockets had Jonny Flynn, Goran Dragic, and Kyle Lowry all signed to deals. The Rockets are now without Dragic and Flynn for the 2012-2013 season. Will the team that tried out Jeremy Lin before he ultimately ended up with the Knicks land the coveted free agent?
